Rigorous testing to ensure reliable and safe valves.
100% of MTM Valves’ valves undergo testing, in compliance with international standards and customer requirements. We have equipped stations for functional tests and special tests, including high-pressure gas and low-temperature or cryogenic tests.
Main tests available:
- Pneumatic and hydraulic tests
- High-pressure gas tests
- Functional testing according to API 598, API 6D, API 6A, and ISO 5208
- FET (fugitive emission tests) (ISO 15848-2) ensuring safety regarding fugitive emission sealing
- Cryogenic and low-temperature testing down to -196°C (BS 6364 and ISO 28921)
TEST
ING
Our non-destructive testing (NDT) performed by personnel trained according to ISO 9712 includes:
- Inspections using liquid penetrants (PT) and magnetic testing (MT)
- Positive material identification (PMI) and visual testing (VT)
- Ultrasonic (UT) and hardness tests
- Detailed analyses such as ferrite determination, coating and metallic overlay thicknesses
Additional tests not performed internally are entrusted to certified laboratories.
We ensure the quality of the materials used through complete traceability control. Every component of our valves is traceable from the steel mill to the final product, ensuring maximum transparency and reliability throughout the entire production chain.
For every MTM valve, we guarantee complete certification and material traceability documentation, in accordance with ISO 10204. Upon request, we provide certificates 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, or 3.2, certifying the chemical and mechanical properties of the materials used, ensuring compliance with the most stringent international standards. For 3.2 certificates, we collaborate with independent third-party organizations, ensuring external control when required. Verifiable quality and total transparency in production processes represent a concrete commitment to our clients, especially in high-criticality applications.
